This alternative to our standard 8/14mm crank adaptor (standard  with every FitStik) makes it easy to attach your FitStik to  bikes with older cranks that used 6mm Allen-socket crank bolts.

The FitStik is aligned with the center of the bottom bracket by means of a patent-pending crank adapter. One end slips into common 8mm Allen-head crank bolts, the other end slips over 14mm crank nuts. This allows precise alignment without removing the crank bolts or nuts. 

The standard 8mm adapter works with the overwhelming majority of cranks being produced today.

However, before before 8mm Allen-head crank bolts became popular, some makers (notably Campy used a 6mm Allen-head bolts.

The standard adapter can be used with 6mm bolts, but if you have a collection of bikes with these older-style cranks to maintain, you'll be glad to have this gizmo in your tool chest. The end of the stud is turned down to 6mm - allowing perfect alignment with older crank bolts.
